Deep Hole Drilling Machines

BTA Drilling
BTA and BTA Counterboring are the most effective methods for drilling deep holes from 20mm up to 700mm in diameter, with length-to-diameter ratios up to 400:1
BTA drilling is typically 4x faster than conventional gun drilling. However, the tool set-up time is longer, and the tooling is more expensive, so BTA is most economical for bigger bores and long production runs.

Gun Drilling
Gun Drilling is a fast and efficient machining process for producing holes with an extreme length-to-diameter ratio. The gun drilling process can drill deep holes beyond what is possible with conventional machinery and tooling, such as twist drills. Delivering high-pressure coolant to the drill tip, gun drills improve chip extraction, even at extreme depths.
Gundrilling is ideal for diameters range of 1mm – 50mm, and length-to-diameter ratios up to 100:1

BTA Counter Boring & Roller Burnishing
The counterboring and/or roller burnishing process enlarges existing holes and improves the surface finish in tubular workpieces that have been pre-drilled or cast. This process can be configured to pilot off a finished bore for straightness, or off the pre-bore for maximum concentricity. Counter boring is an effective process for a wide range of diameters, up to 630 mm
